So much creativity displayed in these contest entries! Here’s some of what we thought were the most creative!

Love this idea! This is a tile floor at the family’s front entry. The words of Joshua 24:15 are etched around the edge, and the names of the children and their parents are etched in the center tiles. Take this idea and run with it!

This is a nice, warm, rustic, manly presentation of Scripture!

Fun idea! Especially if you have a house full of word game lovers.

A great idea, nicely done! This would also be fun with the traits listed in 2 Peter 1:5-7, as you progress up the stairs, “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.”

The hand prints on this are a nice, personal touch. This looks like it might be at an outside door, welcoming visitors and family with an admonition to praise God.

Looks like some “Swords of the Spirit” which is the Word of God. This would be a fun way to record references to verses the boys have memorized! This would also be nice with an entire verse written on the sword.

A great reminder to read to our children. Not sure if this is black paper or blackboard paint. Blackboard paint would allow Daddy or Mama to put a new verse once in a while.

This is a great idea with all kinds of potential! Add a little artwork or photos, and you’ve got designer coasters!

Nice, homey way to put God’s Word on our walls!

I know and love the people who adorned their busy, hospitable kitchen with these words of blessing from God’s Word. The words are etched into the granite back splash. Classy!

This family spent several years in Israel and opens their home to many Israeli families here in the states. Thus, the Hebrew words, as well.

Here’s a practical, as-you-walk-by-the-way means of getting Scripture right where it can continually encourage and motivate while you serve the Lord by serving your family! These laundry room cupboard doors inspire all sort of ideas. How about blackboard paint in the center panels so the verses can be changed from time to time? Or stenciled words or hand calligraphy? Vinyl lettering would be nice, but a bit expensive for this much text. Lori Firster inspired us to create a second prize, a $30 Doorposts gift certificate, for this category. Congratulations, Lori!

And here’s what Jenn Cook, the winner in “The Most Creative” category says about her family’s blackboard wall of verses:

“This is one way we display scripture verses in our home — this summer my 5 1/2 yr old, my 4 yr old and I read through the book “My ABC Bible Verses: Hiding God’s Word in LIttle Hearts” by Susan Hunt. The kids and I were having so much fun learning our Scripture verses that after each new one we read about, I would write it on our painted chalkboard hallway wall, which happens to be right between each of the kid’s bedrooms. It’s a small hallway, so taking a photo of it was a bit challenging. I especially love this ABC Scripture wall because as I am getting ready in the morning in the bathroom, I can look right out into the hallway reading over each of the verses.”

Congratulations to the Cook family, who will receive a $75 gift certificate to Wise Decor, good for any purchase of custom or pre-made vinyl wall lettering!
