We&#8217;ve seen how He willingly laid down His life to bring <em>us<\/em> healing and salvation. We&#8217;ve grown in our love for such a Savior.<\/p>\n<p>And some of us have gained some new Bible study skills and perhaps a new excitement for studying God&#8217;s Word.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What can you do next?<\/strong> What can you do to keep what you&#8217;ve learned from Isaiah 53 fresh in your mind? What can you do to keep practicing what you&#8217;ve learned about Bible study?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let me offer a few suggestions as the final post in this Bible study.<\/strong> For the next two or three weeks, our oldest son, father of four of my adorable grandchildren, will be posting while I start packing up some of our house to ready it for putting it on the market to sell. \ud83d\ude41 (Pray! We&#8217;ve been here for 19 years! This isn&#8217;t going to be easy &#8212; physically or emotionally!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to keep Isaiah 53 fresh in your mind:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Use\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>Scripture Typer<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>to regularly review what you have memorized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Use your cue cards<\/strong> you may have made on <span style=\"color: #8a9cd4;\">Day 11<\/span> to keep reviewing your memorization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reread<\/strong> the chapter once a week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pray through your written prayer<\/strong> based on Isaiah 53 at least once a month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>If you didn&#8217;t use the <strong>children&#8217;s lessons<\/strong> this past month, consider doing those over the next few weeks. Teaching your children what you have learned will plant it even more deeply in your mind and heart.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional study ideas in Isaiah 52 and 53:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Study Isaiah 52:15 in more detail.<\/strong> What does the word <em>sprinkle\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<em>startle\u00a0<\/em>mean in this verse? Why is there disagreement about its meaning? Look at commentaries for help.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Study the words for\u00a0<em>transgression\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>iniquity.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>What is the difference? Use the interlinear tool, Bible dictionaries, and commentaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Study the term\u00a0<em>bear their iniquities<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(53:11)<em>\u00a0<\/em>in more detail. What does it encompass?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Look at <strong>commentaries<\/strong> on each verse. Compare interpretations. Read any sermons by Charles Spurgeon listed in\u00a0<em>Blue Letter Bible&#8217;s\u00a0<\/em>commentaries on Isaiah 52:13-53:12.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Study the\u00a0<strong>scapegoat\u00a0<\/strong>in Leviticus and how it relates to Jesus bearing our iniquities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Meditate on the verses as you <strong>draw small pictures<\/strong> to illustrate them in the margin of your Bible. (Read <span style=\"color: #8a9cd4;\"><a style=\"color: #8a9cd4;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/2013\/03\/24\/30-days-in-psalm-37-for-busy-busy-mamas-day-24-pictures\/\" target=\"_blank\">this post<\/a><\/span> from a previous study about illustrating verses.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Study the account about <strong>Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch<\/strong> in Acts 8.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read one of the gospels<\/strong> and note in detail how the prophecies of Isaiah 52:13-53:12 are displayed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other study ideas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Study in more detail the other <strong>Servant Songs<\/strong> in Isaiah (See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/2015\/03\/15\/thirty-days-in-isaiah-53-for-busy-busy-mamas-day-15-catch-up-and-optional-lesson\/\" target=\"_blank\">Day 15<\/a> for references.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read all of the book of Isaiah<\/strong>, using commentaries to help you understand what you read.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Search on the word &#8220;Esaias&#8221;<\/strong> in the KJV on\u00a0<em>Blue Letter Bible,\u00a0<\/em>and note when Isaiah is quoted in the New Testament.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read the book of John<\/strong> and note every time Jesus states that He is doing the Father\u2019s will and not His own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Choose a chapter in one of the shorter New Testament epistles<\/strong> (Galatians-1 John 3) and apply what you have learned in order to study it. (See <span style=\"color: #8a9cd4;\"><a style=\"color: #8a9cd4;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/2012\/06\/19\/some-ideas-for-studying-your-bible\/\" target=\"_blank\">this post<\/a><\/span> for ideas on how to approach a new passage.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Study a short Psalm<\/strong> using the study tools available on <em>Blue Letter Bible\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Bible Study Tools.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Complete another <\/strong><em><strong>Busy Mamas Bible Study.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Look in the blog archives for studies on Colossians 3, Psalm 37, 1 Corinthians 13, Proverbs 31, Philippians 2, 1 John 3, and Psalm 103 or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/category.aspx?id=2\" target=\"_blank\">purchase<\/a> a print or eBook version of the first four listed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Do the studies in\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/details.aspx?id=130\" target=\"_blank\">Beauty in the Heart<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em>to learn additional study methods while studying\u00a0godly beauty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve enjoyed very much our time together studying Isaiah 53, and look forward to studying with you again!
