\"\"By the time you read this I will have spent the past 4 days shopping and lounging at the beach with my lovely daughters, daughters-in-law, and granddaughters. It’s become an annual tradition.<\/p>\n

While we were doing girl things, my sons and son-in-law proved their manhood by backpacking several miles into a lake with 50 or so pounds a piece on their backs. We ladies are all really glad we’re not guys. We’d much rather shop at the outlet mall, watch Jane Eyre, <\/em>and take bubble baths, than live without a bathroom and eat dried fruit and jerky.<\/p>\n

We also spent the holiday weekend completely computer-free, a good thing to do once in awhile! That’s why I didn’t write a regular post for today. If you haven’t tried it, turn off the computer for a day<\/strong>, and spend the extra time doing something fun with your kids — read a book, take a walk, play a game, run through the sprinkler with them, watch some ants do their job, pack a picnic and head for the park (or the beach!). And thank God for the beautiful world and the beautiful family He’s given you!<\/strong><\/p>\n
