Printing and illuminating Bible verses is a fun, beautiful, and inexpensive way to decorate with Scripture in your home. This project takes less than an hour, and it&#8217;s one of several projects in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/details.aspx?id=126\" target=\"_blank\">new eBook of Scripture decor ideas<\/a> that Katelyn and I wrote.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you&#8217;ll try this out and send us a photo of your finished project!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frame and\/or mat<\/li>\n<li>Parchment or other decorative paper<\/li>\n<li>Computer with a word processing program and printer<\/li>\n<li>A pen and pencil<\/li>\n<li>Colored pencils or paints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3902\" title=\"DSC_4590\" src=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC_4590-1024x679.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC_4590-1024x679.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC_4590-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSC_4590-900x596.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><strong>1. Find a frame that fits your d\u00e9cor.<\/strong> We used a 5&#215;7 frame, but you can use any size or shape, as long as you have the right size paper to go with it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3903\" title=\"screenshot-Jn13\" src=\"http:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/screenshot-Jn13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"795\" height=\"620\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/screenshot-Jn13.jpg 795w, https:\/\/www.doorposts.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/screenshot-Jn13-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 795px) 100vw, 795px\" \/><strong>2. Choose a favorite verse<\/strong>, and either type it out, or copy and paste from your preferred Bible translation at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.biblegateway.com<\/a>. With your computer\u2019s word processing program, arrange the text to fit the paper size you are using and chose an easily readable font that you like. If you want to add an illuminated letter, leave out that letter and add some extra spaces in its place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. To add an illuminated letter<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=illuminated+letter&amp;hl=en&amp;prmd=imvns&amp;tbm=isch\" target=\"_blank\">search Google images<\/a> or look at old books to find an illuminated letter that you like. Brighten it up with colored pencils or paint<\/strong>. Add any other illumination  to your print (vines, flowers, etc.).
