Courtship<\/em>\u00a0is an emotional topic.\u00a0<\/strong>The very word — courtship\u00a0<\/em>—\u00a0can stir up some pretty\u00a0heated discussions. I think this is partly due to the fact that everyone seems to have a different definition for the word\u00a0courtship. <\/em>It’s probably also due to the fact that courtships do, after all, involve emotions. <\/em>And I’m pretty sure a lot of strong opinions exist about courtship because we, as parents, inevitably make mistakes<\/em> while trying to do what we think is best for our children.<\/p>\n

After helping guide five of our children into God-centered marriages, I can assure you that we’ve made our share of mistakes. But God is greater than any mistake we can make, and He uses our weakness to put His strength and glory on display!<\/p>\n

Today, I would like to share “The Story of Us,” Part 1″<\/a>, the first installment of our daughter’s delightful account of her courtship experience. In it, you will get an inside view of her thoughts as the “husband list” of her dreams gave way to something (and someone<\/em>)\u00a0so much better.<\/em><\/p>\n
