“…If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.” (Proverbs 2:4-5)

God knows young people need wisdom. That’s why He gave us the book of Proverbs!

We spent a lot of time in Proverbs while our children were growing up, reading a chapter each day, copying verses, studying various topics, and illustrating verses. This time we spent studying Proverbs has borne much fruit in the lives of our children.

Filled with family-tested, age-integrated study ideas, Hidden Treasures will help your whole family get excited about studying Proverbs. This book will also help you:

  • Bring Proverbs to life with a variety of hands-on activities and object lessons
  • Engage your visual and hands-on learners by illustrating Proverbs together as a family
  • Keep younger children’s attention with Proverb guessing games
  • Spark their imagination with 90 different illustrated Proverbs (which also make great coloring pages!)
  • Commit key verses to memory for long-term impact
  • Help your children remember and apply what they learn from Proverbs

And, for the older children and adults in your family who want to dig deeper:

  • Choose and study specific topics in Proverbs (with worksheets for recording your findings)
  • Learn what to look for as you read together (with specific study suggestions and notes on each chapter of Proverbs)
  • Augment your studies with suggested commentaries, audio, and more

Scripture quotations are from the KJV Bible.

  Doorposts Has Most Helpful Resources!
Kelly B of KS, 11/6/2017
I have purchased and/or downloaded a few different resources that were supposed to help me use Proverbs as a scriptural reference to train my children or do a Bible Study with them, but all of them left me wondering HOW to actually use them. Doorposts not only explains exactly how to use this resource, they instruct several different ways to study Proverbs with my children. I did not grow up in a Christian home, and when I read Proverbs for the first time as an adult I was amazed at the truths I found there. I kept thinking, "If only my parents had taught me the difference between a fool and a wise man, I wouldn't have made so many mistakes and wrong turns," and I realized why the few relationships I had didn't work out was because the men I had dated were fools. Thankfully, I am now married to a Christian, we have 3 tween boys and I just purchased this book and read it and I am so excited to get into Proverbs with my family so that we can all grow in wisdom. With sections like Putting Wisdom to Work, Searching for More, What to Do When You are Lost, plus all the helps (Charts and different ways to study Proverbs), we will be able to use this resource for years to come. I wish I had found Doorposts first when I went searching for ways to use scripture to train my children and do Bible studies with them!

  Plants Grown UP

I am excited to get my order of Hidden Treasures. I have been using Plants Grown Up, For Instruction in Righteousness, the If/Then, Brother Offended and Blessing charts for years. I am going to go out of my comfort zone and ask my two neighbor friends to study Proverbs with me with the specific goal to help all of our boys to have wisdom to deal with this world. One of our sons was recently shown inappropriate things, my husband and I knew that it was a matter of "when" not "if" this would happen, even though we have been diligent to protect them in many areas, with the Lord's help:). Now it is with joy that I can reach out, maybe to the rest of my neighborhood also, with a trusted resource!

We absolutely love this book. Our kids enjoy pulling it out and reading themselves to find the verse that matches with the picture. It has also encouraged them to draw their own pictures of the proverbs.
