Does Proverbs 31’s description of the woman who “surpasses them all” ever make you feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or even a bit guilty?
-
Proverbs 31 is not a checklist to accomplish in order to prove our worth.
-
It's not a list of goals to achieve in our own strength.
-
The Proverbs 31 Woman is not meant to be an intimidating example, setting up burdensome expectations we can never live up to.
Instead of being overwhelmed by everything this woman does, let’s study her and learn what makes her tick. Let’s focus on fearing the Lord like she does. And if we truly fear Him, then obeying Him and applying His wisdom in our lives will become a joy.
We know it’s not easy, getting into God's Word when life is busy all around you—but this study will help!
With short study assignments (about 15-20 minutes a day), Thirty Days in Proverbs 31 guides you through an in-depth study of the Virtuous Woman—an example we can truly admire and look to for inspiration.

If you are a momma who loves God, wants to have a thriving marriage, wants to bring up God-fearing and hard working children through your living, every day example, then this gem of a book is for you!
I started this study right before having my 5th child. It was so timely! It was like a balm to my soul. Pam Forster uses her teaching and encouraging gifts in a very powerful way. You will be inspired and stimulated to live fully your God-given roles as wife, mother and community member.
Do consider: if you really want to get the most out of this study, it may take you a good 20-30 min each day to complete each chapter. I do not recommend you rush through this study if you want to get the most out of it. The time you spend in this study will probably be one of the best investments you will make as a wife and mother.
I received a free review copy from the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

The Door Post Bible Study of Proverbs 31 is awesome!!! What insight the Lord has given Pam in leading and writing this booklet for us to use as a study guide.
Pam is real kind and caring.......she delivers each detail in such a way that anyone could follow [ie the Blue Letter Bible instructions].
I have learned so much from Proverbs 31. I always thought that the Proverb 31 women was a "super mom" to be able to do all that is written in the chapter.
As a homeschool mom with an autistic child... many days I'm limited to skimming a verse or maybe a chapter in the morning then hurrying to catch up with my responsibilities for the day.
This study was very helpful in breaking down each scripture verse and gave me time to 'digest' it all into my understanding of the Proverbs 31 woman.
Though most of my children are grown...I enjoyed how the lessons each included younger children, and activities for them to participate in to understand the scripture of the day.
I know now that I am a women of valor [I like to say a bride in combat boots]: a jewel that is more precious than rubies. I could say more, but I don't want to ruin it for someone else.
I have done a lot of Bible studies in the past and this is one I would highly recommend as a new beginner or seasoned Bible study.
Thank you Pam for the wisdom and insight the Lord gave you in this booklet

REALLY loved this study! It completely altered my perspective of the Proverbs 31 wife and made her role accessible to me. I learned new Bible study techniques and about new Bible study tools. HIGHLY recommend it!

We all spend time on what we consider important and there’s so much vying for our attention these days. As a wife and mom, I’ve been learned that extra time doesn’t just appear. For everything I say ‘yes’ to, I’m saying ‘no’ to something else. After spending a month in Proverbs 31 learning about the popular (and most frequently intimidating) Proverbs 31 woman, I’ve seen that one of the most admirable goals I can have is to look well to the ways of my household and not eat the bread of idleness (Proverbs 31:27). Convicting! Idleness is comfortable and easy – it takes very little effort. Looking well to the ways of my household? That definitely causes me to break a sweat in more ways than one. Yet, it’s not a task that I do in my own effort by my own strength. That’s the really good news. And there's so much more in this study!
For most moms, finding a good chunk of time to study God's word is difficult but this study allows you to spread the work over the day (and sometimes into the next day or so). Pam provides daily instructions but you can go at your own pace in about 15-20 minutes each day. While there are so many studies to choose from, and many that are geared toward women, Pam’s Bible studies have been great for keeping busy mamas in the Word and helping God’s word become cemented in your mind and heart in just a small amount of time each day. Meditating upon Scripture changes your thoughts, your reactions and your life. Five stars!!

Thirty Days in Proverbs 31 was an excellent and well put together study. The author, Pam Foster, is wonderful in the way she portraits this intimidating woman of the Bible. We all have this inclination that this is someone we can't "live up to", which is true in our own strength but she focuses on what we should be doing, that is, fearing the Lord and applying these truths to our everyday lives. For me, as a busy wife and mom, and who has a hard time getting those "meaty" truths in everyday, was an excellent study for that. She compresses these daily studies to about 15-20 min a day. She has you, along with this study, use some online Bible study tools to help with timesaving and learning how really easy it is to dig deeper into Gods word. Also, as a bonus, she includes at the end of each study, an optional lesson for you to do with your children if you would like.

Thirty Days in Proverbs 31 is an excellent Bible study. I learned so much from my time in Proverbs 31. Pam Forster gives you the tools and support you need to really dig into the Word and apply what you learn to your life. Each day you will read and memorize a verse in the Proverb. In addition to insightful notes from Pam, you can use online tools to do word studies for each verse. The value of this study is that you realize the the Proverbs 31 woman is not someone who is perfect or has it all together. She is me and she is YOU! She is someone who desires to please God and serve her family. She is a woman of valor and strength she gains from a personal relationship with God.
This was truly a life-changing study. I have gained a new appreciation for my family and a desire to do what I do because of my love for them and not simply because I have to. You can even involve your children in the study. My boys enjoyed drawing pictures of the merchants' ships and building the gates with their legos. I have recommended this study to many of my friends and I now recommend it to you.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review which I have given.

'No Slacking' were the two words that kept recurring as I went through this study. I've always had this feeble-weak-woman_ish outlook on womanhood. You know, a woman is simply, a woman. Doing this study with Pam (which was my first time studying Proverbs 31) made me understand better who God created the woman to be__ a warrior! The Psalmist wrote that He (God) teaches our fingers to make war and that's all I saw this woman doing__war; as she spun wool, got the family meal ready, made coverings for her household, reached out to the poor etc, she was doing battle all to the glory of her King, her Commander-In-Chief. Most importantly, she did all of it on His strength and wisdom!
The Thirty Days In Proverbs 31 study also exposed me to resources, methods and techniques that I can employ to study other parts (books, people) of the scripture.
God bless you, Pam for all you do in His Name.

This was my first Bible study with Doorpost but it won't be my last. I learned a lot about study tools and how to use the blue letter Bible tool on the web. I learned more about the proverbs 31 lady through this study than I have all my Christian life. She is not so intimidating now .Pam presents us with sound teaching and encouragement so each of us can grow towards becoming Proverbs 31 women.
Best Proverbs 31 Study Ever

I have done many studies on Proverbs 31 and this is the best one I've done by far. The things that I thought I knew, I didn't. It was so interesting to do the word studies & find out how many nouns are masculine. You always think that the virtuous woman is this little, soft, wall flower, but she is strong, ready to take on the days attacks with resolve. This study showed me that I don't have to rely on a to do list of virtue, I need to allow God to live this through me. The main focus is verse 23. Her husband is known in the gates. I need to remember that everything I do is a direct reflection on my husband, but more than that, as the bride of Christ, everything I do & say is a direct reflection of Him.

I've done a few of these devotional studies and they were exactly what I needed to get back on track! I had been struggling with my quiet time, as I had 3 little ones and no time to spend doing the real in depth Bible study I wanted to be doing...so I did nothing. :(. Pam encouraged us that 5 minutes a day really is something and the time adds up; she was right!!! I cannot say enough good things about these studies and they make wonderful gifts too!! Thank you Doorposts for providing something so perfect, not just for me, but for all the busy mamas out there!

Pam does a wonderful job of breaking down this passage into manageable pieces while teaching tools that can be applied to any study of God's Word. I have always found the Proverbs 31 woman rather daunting - this biblical "Super Woman" who can never really be attainable. Pam presents sounds teaching and encouragement in how each of us really can grow towards becoming Proverbs 31 women.
