Doorposts Users' Group
We've created a Doorposts Users email group! We would like to encourage
families who are using our materials to communicate with us
and with each other. This is the place to:
- Ask the authors questions about how to use particular Doorposts products
- Find helps for organizing and using Polished Cornerstones and Plants Grown Up
- Compare notes with other families about how they use Doorposts materials
- Share your ideas with others about how you have used Doorposts materials
- Discuss parenting issues with other parents who share your interest in Bible-centered child-training
- Connect with other families with similar goals, beliefs, and ideals
- Suggest ideas for new products
- Locate sources for other books recommended in Polished Cornerstones and Plants Grown Up

About the Group:
How does this Users’ Group work?
Once
you join the group, you will receive copies of emails sent by other
group members. You may also send email to the group. Email
discussions are also posted as discussion threads on the group’s page.
You may view the group’s pages and share files with members of the
group on the group page.
How much email will I receive if I join?
That
depends on your preferences! You have complete control over the volume
of email you will receive. You can choose to receive anywhere from no
email at all to every email that goes through the group. It’s up to
you! (Email settings are located in the "edit my membership" tab on the
right side bar.)
Do I have to have a Gmail address to participate?
No;
you may create a Google account with any email address. Account
creation is fast, easy, and collects no personal information except
your email address, which is kept private. You simply enter your email
address and create a password and username.
Why did Doorposts create this group on Google instead of Yahoo?
We created the Doorposts Users group with Google Groups instead of Yahoo Groups
because of Google's family-friendly, text-only advertising. We have found
much of Yahoo’s advertising to be objectionable, and we'd rather not support it or ask you to wade through it.
What topics are encouraged in this discussion group?
- Questions and comments for other parents using Doorposts materials
- Constructive questions, advice, and discussions related to Bible-based parenting
- Results you’ve seen using Doorposts materials
- Ways you’ve fit Doorposts materials into your school planning/schedule
What is not allowed in this discussion group?
- Requests for personal counseling from the Forsters
- Detailed accounts of family issues
- Derogatory or unkind comments
- Posting copyrighted material without permission from the owner
- Advertising or spam (You are permitted to recommend books and other materials,
provided (1) you’ve used them personally with your family and (2) they are directly
related to Christian parenting.)
Is this group moderated?
Members of the Forster family are part
of this list and we look forward to joining in on your discussions! We will also
monitor the group activity to make sure no members misuse their membership. We reserve
the right to moderate messages and block users if it becomes necessary. Messages from
first-time members are currently being moderated.
