Word Art for Kingdom Work!

This post is related to a little fundraiser I am doing to help my daughter pay for her plane ticket that got her to the Ukraine earlier this week. I have lettered several portions of Scripture that I would like to offer for sale, with all the proceeds going to help fund her trip.

First, let me tell you what Bethany is doing:

She is now in the Ukraine, after many, many hours of plane travel, transfers, layovers, and train rides. She is there with a team of other people, ministering to Ukrainian pastors and their families at a camp that is being held to encourage, strengthen, and equip them for the challenging work they do.

She will be helping with the pastors’ children, organizing camp activities, and getting to know and converse with the young people. She and the team will also be doing outreach to unbelievers.

When she finished there, she will move on to Hungary to help explore the options of Christians taking over the operation of a school that has been government-run, but that is now being closed. This is a great opportunity for Christians to step in and use the building for Christ’s kingdom!

After Hungary, she will spend a few days in Poland, returning there to work with a dear Polish pastor that several of us worked with a couple years ago. She and a friend will be helping make a video that explains his work and ministry in Poland.

I have six pieces of calligraphy up for auction. You can see them all in the sidebar of this blog. (If you’re reading this in your email, you’ll have to click through to the blog here.) Several are from 1 Corinthians 13, which many of us are studying together now in our Busy Mamas Bible Study.

Until 7 pm PDT next Friday, July 19, these pieces will be open for bidding. Pictures of each piece are shown below in this post, but to view details and/or bid on a piece, you’ll have to click the links in the auction widget and then click the “more” or “bid now” links. Each one has a starting bid of $40.

I’m praying that the Lord will use this as a means of bringing in the funds that Bethany still needed when she left on this trip. If you want Scripture on your walls, this is a great opportunity to buy an original piece of artwork while you also support God’s work in Eastern Europe.
