I LOVE books and so I have a couple of favorite stores — my most favorite would have to be Library Education Services where I can get great new Christian and homeschool books at wholesale prices. My other favorite bookstore is Bargain Books which has lots of great Christian books. I also love Amazon for all my Christian free kindle books I get. I’m excited to learn more about Exodus Books – this is the first time hearing about them. Thanks!

  23. one of my favorite books stores is on my church campus and it shares a building with a cafe/coffee shop… a wonderful place to stop in, pick up a book, a cup of java and start some quiet reading with my God.

  27. I’m sure everyone is saying Exodus, but it REALLY is my favorite. I can get great advice, curriculum, great lit. and games. All in one stop.

  28. I haven’t been to a REAL bookstore in YEARS! LOL… but I used to love Barnes and Noble… it was always so quiet and peaceful there… and you could have coffee while you browsed.. :O)

  32. The Northshire Book Store in VT. Two levels of wall to wall books a seperate room for kids books and a killer coffe shop.

  34. Favorite bookstore? Oh my! That’s hard to say. I do love Doorposts, CBD, ebay, amazon and on and on.

  35. My favorite bookstore is a little Christian bookstore in Lee’s Summit, MO called “The Christian Bookshelf”. The owner, Roger, is a wonderful, wise Godly man who is very careful about the books he stocks. He is full of answers and always helpful. It is like visiting a family member when we stop in.

  55. Amazon and I have recently found Exodus books. I love Exodus Books explanation of their products and the way their website is laid out.

  56. Our closest book store is 120 miles away so we look for used books at yard sales or our library book sale. We love online book stores but everytime we travel our favorite store to stop at are book stores.

  59. Northwestern Publishing House in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I could live there if they had a bathroom and refrigerator.

  60. I enjoy Joseph Beth Bookstore. They have a fantastic selection which is why I can hardly ever walk in there without finding something that I feel I just have to buy!

  79. My favorite book store is closed πŸ™ it was so quaint, had the best selection of used books, and super comfy couches and it always smelled of fresh brewed coffee! Now i mostly use Amazon.com for convenience.

  101. My favorite bookstore has been wtsbooks.com for its thoughtful, gospel-centered, selections. I am happy to learn of Exodus, though, for homeschool books. It is within driving distance.

  104. There was an amazing book store in down town Sarasota, FL that was ruined by a flood….they had to close their doors…..it had anything you could imagine!!! LOVED IT

    My favorite local bookstore is Lifeway. I feel very blessed to have a Christian bookstore nearby. Where we used to live there wasn’t on anywhere near us.

  128. Half Price books, but my true favorites are a couple of very large purveyors of old, used books that are downtown by my husbands work. I wish there were more new book dealers in my area that were not giant chain stores.

  130. I loved Acres of Books in Long Beach, CA until it closed soon after I discovered it. Now my favorite bookstore is Powell’s in Portland, OR. I love bookstores that are so big you could spend an entire day browsing, and both of these fit the bill!

  131. It used to be Pilgrims, a local Christian used bookstore. But it’s out of business now. I didnt even know about Exodus Books! Gonna have to make a visit! πŸ˜€ very happy to find out about it.

    Christian Light Education is my favorite online bookstore/curriculum store. This is where I buy my home school curriculum…very reasonably priced. I have a special needs son and this curriculum is a lot of repetition and that is what works best for him.

    The interesting thing about your location is that it used to be Colonial Office Supplies many years ago (1970-1980’s) . They had a print shop…My mother was a printer and was friends with the owners so I remember going there as a kid when they would share equipment. In 1983 I chose my wedding invitations there in your building.

    I just thought that was an interesting tidbit of information for you. It is a delight to have this building “still in the family” so to speak.

  165. There was an old used bookstore in a little small town we lived in several years ago. It was called Barton’s Books. Loved to go in there and browse because it was quiet, never busy, lots of comfy places to sit.
